Composition
Each capsule contains Amlodipine / Losartan.
Presentation
- 2.5mg Amlodipine/ 50mg Losartan – Box x30 capsules.
- 5mg Amlodipine/100mg Losartan – Box x30 capsules.
Indications
Treatment of arterial hypertension, in patients who do not respond to monotherapy.
Posology
One capsule a day.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to amlodipine besylate, losartan potassium or the other components of the formula. Except in special circumstances, this medicine should not be used when there is severe hypotension (amlodipine could aggravate this condition). Hypovolemic, hypernatremic patients, with impaired renal function, with hyperkalaemia or patients requiring surgery under general anesthesia. Carrier patients with stenosis of the renal artery, bilateral or in a solitary kidney.
Adverse reactions
The most commonly observed adverse effects with the use of amlodipine besylate are headache and edema; and with a lower incidence there are dizziness, facial flushing, palpitations, fatigue, nausea, drowsiness and abdominal pain.
Warnings
Do not use during pregnancy or lactation. Consider using lower doses in patients with a history of hepatic dysfunction.
