- Ibuprofen 200 mg
Presentation
- Box x 10 soft gelatin capsules.
Indications
- Analgesic of choice in primary dysmenorrhea. The presentation of Femen 200 mg is indicated for girls and pre-pubescent girls from 10 to 14 years of age since this is the maximum dose approved by FDA at this age and in the case of Femen Forte it is recommended for adolescents and adults from 15 years of age.
Posology
- The recommended dose of ibuprofen to relieve menstrual pain is 1200 to 1600 mg maximum per day.
- In primary dysmenorrhea:
One or two 200 mg capsules of FEMEN® every 6-8 hours.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the substance.
Angioedema or bronchospastic reaction to acetylsalicylic acid or NSAIDs.
Adverse effects
- The most frequent side effects are gastrointestinal: nausea, epigastric burning, flatulence and dyspepsia.
Warnings
- Patients with a history of peptic ulcer and gastrointestinal bleeding.
- Patients with vision disorders, scotomas and changes in color perception.
- Patients with history of cardiac decompensation or hypertension.
- Pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a doctor before use. If symptoms persist with use, discontinue and consult a physician.
