Composition
Each 10 ml sachet contains:
- Sodium Alginate 2.5 g
- Sodium Bicarbonate 2.67 g

Indications
Milpax Antireflux – Antacid:
- Gastroesophageal reflux of any etiology.
- Heartburn.
- Sequelae of stomach and cardia surgery.
- Esophagitis of any etiology.
Dosage and Administration
- Adults: 1 to 2 tablespoons (15-30 ml) after each meal.
- Children: 1 to 2 teaspoons (5 to 10 ml) after each meal.
- Infants: 1 to 2 ml/kg/day divided into equal doses after each feeding.
Recommendations
- Precautions or restrictions during pregnancy and lactation, mutagenesis, teratogenesis, and fertility: No adverse events are known when this medicine is used in pregnant or breastfeeding mothers; however, it should be administered under medical supervision considering the risk-benefit for the patient. No effects on fertility, mutagenesis, or teratogenesis have been described.
Precautions related to carcinogenicity effects: No association with such effects.
Precautions
- As with other antacids, sodium intake should be controlled in patients on low-sodium diets. At the suggested doses, MILPAX® provides less than 1.5% of the 2400 mg of sodium recommended in a normal adult diet.
